ATL M1500
The ATL M1500 provides modular scalability for companies that need a backup solution that can grow and change as their data grows and backup requirements change. Developed with flexibility in mind, the ATL M1500 can be "right-sized," from both a performance and capacity point of view, to fit the needs of the most passive or aggressive backup solutions. The scalability of the ATL M-Series (both ATL M1500 and ATL M2500) is unrivaled in that the library doesn't have to be rebuilt, shipped to the manufacturer or taken off-line in order to add modules. The ATL M-Series libraries also boast the greatest density per rack space in this class of tape library leaving valuable rack space "available" in the datacenter for other IT infrastructure.

Base-library configurable from zero to two drives and 25 cartridge slots
Scalable via StackLink from one to 20 drives (up to 1.2TB/hour native performance) and up to 250 cartridge slots (40TB native capacity) all "seen" by the backup software package as a single library
Supports DLT 8000, SDLT 220, SDLT 320 and LTO^TM Ultrium^TM tape drives
Barcode reader standard
Data cartridges in removable magazines providing 100% bulk loading and unloading
Intuitive GUI control panel
SCSI standard with a native fibre library option
Optional remote monitoring, management and SNMP agent (MC300 option)
