LTO Ultrium Tapes
LTO Ultrium is a breakthrough in tape technology providing up to 200 GB (compressed) storage capacity in the 1st Generation and up to 1.6 TB in the 4th Generation allowing companies to invest in a technology with a clearly defined roadmap securing their investment for years to come. GRAHAM LTO Ultrium tapes are specially designed for storage intensive backup and archiving in network servers and automated tape libraries.

The double-layer 1/2" MP-tape (metal pigment tape) sets new standards. The LTO Ultrium high storage capacities combined with extremely high transfer rates between 10 and 40 MB/s easily meet the demanding capacities and transfer rates required today. Simultaneously 8 tracks are linear serpentine recorded and read on 384 tracks in four bands of 96 tracks each.

Instant access to data using LTO Ultrium CM (Cartridge Memory), an embedded electronics and interface module that stores and retrieves a cartridges usage information like calibration information, manufacturers' data, file log data and information about initialisation, increases performance and usability of the LTO Ultrium cartridge. It uses non-contact radio frequency transmission to read and write data on the CM enabling simultaneous transfer of the cartridge-usage data during the media load and unload cycles.

The MP-tape on a PEN film ensures 1,000,000 passes and 20,000 load/unload cycles.
