High Performance Tape Cartridges
The pioneering use of metal pigment tape in MTC technology provides huge increases in recording density and opens the way to a new dimension in storage capacity of magnetic tape cartridges. At one stroke capacities are elevated into double digits of gigabytes. Using the MP technology the 3rd generation of MTCs is now being introduced, with uncompressed storage capacities of 10 to 40 gigabytes.
As a manufacturer of MTCs we are proud to be again at the leading edge of events. Close cooperation with leading hardware manufacturers has enabled us to offer you the new GRAHAM branded Magnetic Tape Cartridges in MP technology, right now.
Capacity without data compression (128/256 tracks) 10 GB/20GB
Recording process Longitudinal serpentine recording with a total of 128/256 (8x16/16x16) data tracks and pre-recorded servo tracks.

Greater security - greater economy However impressive an innovation may appear from the technological standpoint, the important issue for professionals is whether the nominal increase in performance results in a genuine plus in economy. And that is where the new GRAHAM-MTCs show their class with demonstrable benefits.
The storage costs per MB fall by more than 80%.
The enormous reduction in space requirement means less cost for space, administration and servicing.
Higher transfer rates save time and money. It is no longer necessary to order autonomous system units. The GRAHAM MTCscan be integrated into existing robot and storage systems and operated in parallel with previous MTC types.
